Collecting ocean water from your favorite beaches on the Cape not only adds authenticity to my paintings, but gives you a beautiful, one of a kind piece of Cape Cod to display on your wall.
Working with fluid art doesn’t require brushes but harnessing gravity to spin, push and tilt paint on the canvas.
My art is displayed on many different surfaces, from canvases to wooden boards, coasters, key chains and jewelry and I look forward to experimenting with even more surfaces.
I’m first and foremost a creator. I paint, craft, take photos, do graphic design, and anything else that falls under ‘creating’. Most of my creating involves fluid painting and minimalist logo design. But how come?
It started early in primary school where my school asked the students to create a logo for their arbitrators. Since kindergarten I love painting, drawing and crafting and I was very excited about this logo project. About 8 years old at the time I obviously had a little help from my Mom creating the logo idea but at the end it won and was from there on officially used by the arbitrators in school. This was, I would say, the first real experience with ‘design’ for me and the start of my creative journey.
After school I finished my 2.5 years of apprenticeship as a Media designer for digital and print media and after that I worked for multiple advertising, marketing and publishing agencies.
I met my husband in 2015 on Cape Cod and he “stole” me from Germany in 2017 when we got married in Dennis Port where we live now.
Since I got my Green Card in 2018 I work as a self employed graphic designer and artist in my new home Cape Cod. I offered a wide spectrum of services including design of logos, business cards, stationary, ads, websites and more with my company Pixel Platz but soon realized that I want to focus more on my ability to create for myself and sharing my creations with all of you. So I limited my graphic design services to shift my focus more onto my art.
I love to share the things I’m passionate about, so I created this website as a way to put my love for art and design into the world through my blog and photos.
My journey has been my education; feeling confident in my work, learning from my mistakes as a self-taught artist, and discovering new techniques. The value of my struggle is the final composition of my artwork. Painting has become my passion, and I want to continue to inspire others through my work and life.
